That's a nice piece

I picked the faceted lot up yesterday and haven't been able to find out much more about them. They're almost certainly modern bohemian.

Some controlled bubbles and some not so controlled, they were in good condition, no signatures or identifying marks as far as i can tell.

The price i paid was probably not the cheapest possible but not terrible either. Three were magnums, i'm pretty sure it's lead crystal in all of them.

Will post more as i find out.

$110 (USD) for the lot is a very good price, especially if you're not looking for an immediate return on what you spent. They are good-looking paperweights, and the faceting enhances the value. I think you had a lucky find.

Hi, thought I'd post an update on this - I just got the Paperweights book
by Jargstorf in and there, on page 109, just as Mark mentioned, were my weights.

Well, not mine but almost identical, they are identified in the book as
being Hungarian production based on an old design, spotted in a flea
market in 1989 so presumably made sometime before.

Will post more if I find the maker.
