No-one likes general adverts, and ours hadn't been updated for ages, so we're having a clear-out and a change round to make the new ones useful to you. These new adverts bring in a small amount to help pay for the board and keep it free for you to use, so please do use them whenever you can, Let our links help you find great books on glass or a new piece for your collection. MONART IN PERTH
« on: October 22, 2006, 07:46:41 PM »
I HAVE JUST FOUND THIS SITE.  MY GRANDAD WORKED IN THE MONCRIEFF GLASSWORKS AT THE SAME TIME AS PAUL AND THE OTHER BROTHERS.  HE HAD MANY PIECES OF MONART, INCLUDING MANY VASES AND LAMPS THAT THE BROTHERS GAVE HIM.  AS PEOPLE VISITED MY GRANDPARENTS THEY WOULD ADMIRE THE PIECES AND MY GRANDAD, BEING A GENEROUS PERSON, WOULD GIVE THEM AWAY!! IMAGINE WHAT HIS COLLECTION WOULD HAVE BEEN WORTH TODAY.  MY MUM HAS SEVERAL PIECES, INCLUDING ONE OF THE MUSHROOM LAMPS, AND I AM NOW KEED TO START COLLECTING, SO i WILL BE VISITING THIS SITE REGULARLY TO GET MORE INFO.

THANKS FOR A GREAT SITE.

FROM HAZEL J
 :)

Welcome to GMB Hazel. There's no need to use block capitals though - this is the internet version of shouting :)

I'm sure Frank would welcome the contact and if you have any photos to share, please feel free to post them.
