Help with silver overlay mug
« on: December 02, 2006, 09:38:27 PM »
I'm looking for any information available about this silver overlay 3 handled glass mug that my mother owns.  Etched in the silver near the top it says Nov. 1st 1902.  That is the only mark of any sort we can find on it.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

About all I can share is;  it's called a "Loving Cup" with the three handles for some reason or another. The style of it seems to yell Tiffany! at me and I know that Tiffany did make that style of cup in a number of versions, including sterling silver only. --- Mike

i doubt seriously that you can attribute this to tiffany.  are you sure there are no marks at all?  nearly all american glass houses made pieces in this shape around 1900
