Edit: Royo Candle Holder Was: Moser Mystery
Max:
Thanks for the photo Bryn, after I posted, I thought there might be green too. I don't think I've ever seen any other colours than the amber, blue and green so far...
Frank:
Another Royo thread has:
--- Quote from: KevH on July 28, 2005, 11:12:27 PM ---Like Lenore's, my vase has been held on a four-part "gadget" (which is just a form of punty iron that makes it easier to hold and work larger items) and consequently there are four "cracked-off" marks beneath the foot.

I have added photos of my vase and the foot base to my Yobunny album:
The vase, 13 inch high:

Hi KevH,
Thanks a bunch for that. I'm much happier about it now.
I thought that those marks were just too evenly spaced to have been done by accident. But you just never know.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been out glass hunting in the never ending rain. Picked up a nice bit of Orrefors though, but that's another story ;D.
Much obliged,
Bryn (not Brian)

These pieces marked 'Royo' or 'Cire' were NEVER made by Moser and NEVER will be ::). They were made in Spain during the last 20 years or so..Gary Baldwin made the fatal mistake of attributing these to Moser in his two books...Unfortunately, this myth continues to perpetuate..Great for Sellers but no so great for Buyers that think these pieces were truly made by Moser..
my two and half cents.. ;D
