Should this piece of art glass be on another board for ID?

I live in the United States and here is a side view of the piece. I am having trouble with the color change, my house is almost all windows so this looks blue from the side, which would be from natural light, last night when it was dark and under regular lights it look way more purple. Right now looking at it at different angles you are getting blue and purple. Thanks so much for the help!!!

:o OMG you would think I could get this right! Speaking of turning I just truned to red :-[ Can't seem to get the picture hosting to work, I know I got the wrong picture, and that is my fault, but now it won't let me in at all. I had to use desk top doctor to try and fix it and it still won't work. But if this peice of glass can turn into andirons do you think I could get it to turn to gold? :D I could use about 20 pounds of gold right now. Anyway I will keep trying to get the picture link to work.
