Can anyone help with this little creature? It seems to be signed 'GS'.

Thanks in advance!

Hmm. The sig is either very clear, most likely GS, but upside down could be SG or 58 - can't see Mtarfa in it at all.

Gozo Studio? Also Maltese. I posted one with similar markings on Frank's Glass Zoo that was signed Gozo.

Edit: might be Gg - the lower case 'g' for glass could look like an 's' perhaps? Mine is signed 'Gozo glass'

Not Mtarfa, although possible on style, more squiggles in Mtarfa signature

I agree , should be more squiggles, but the straight line looks like the 't' in mtarfa,

Thanks Andy, Christine, David, and Anne. Perhaps it's my photograph, but I can't see anything remotely like those sigs on the piece itself. It's quite a tiny sig. David, Gg is a distinct possibility.

Thanks everyone.

It is signed GS after all. Here's a labeled mate on eBay, identifying the bird as from Gordon Studio. The pattern can be found here by clicking on PRODUCTION and scrolling to the picture in the bottom right, under the koalas.
