There's a bowl in this pattern pictured in the Design Council Archives, which was exhibited in the Britain Can Make It exhibition in 1946:
Britain Can Make It No manufacturer given, but most of the pressed glass in the exhibition seems to have been by Sherdley. Alexander Hardie Williamson started designing for them a few years before, so he's a possible for the designer - though this is much more ornate than the other stuff he designed around this time.
I'm now the proud owner of a brown hexagonal kingfisher bowl. But am still on the look-out for a clear one, if anyone happens to spot one.
(could a mod shorten this link? thanks!
