19" Pale Green Floor Vase
« on: February 07, 2007, 04:30:16 PM »
I've had this piece for about 12 years and always wondered who/where/when/how.  I've included a standard wine glass for scale - it's really big!

It weighs 3925kg so I cannot imagine that it was blown without a mould, but it was made in one piece.  I did try to work out how it was done - a long time ago - and from memory I think I came to the conclusion that it might have been acid etched.  The design sits a little proud of the body.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Now that I've shown my age by revealing my poor understanding of metric weights...........I hope nobody minds if I bump this with a request for clues about this 3925g or 3.925kg lump.

Many thanks

I still have this piece, and it remains a mystery, so I'm giving it a bump......

It looks like it belongs with those old dinner services that can be found. Like the tazza Keith posted here recently.

Is it really green? This was not at all what I expected to see from your title - I was expecting something quite modern and bright.  ;D
