have a look on here - I have two of these and put them under a question about linen smoothers originally.  I decided they were paperweights and pottery of some sort.
I have an antique linen smoother which is glass.  I attempted to use these to see whether I thought they could smooth linen( actually ribbon smoothers were also used ) and decided they were the wrong shape.

I am very interested in Ivo's suggestion however I have two and the base of them is completely and utterly flat - hence me thinking they were paperweights not for smoothing anything.
I also don't know if they are pottery or glass.  I 'll try and find my thread on it.

I've not noted it on that thread, but I'm pretty sure I came down on thinking they were paperweights via some research somewhere  :-\

I'm not sure as the marks are sometimes difficult to tell apart but I think it's a Henry Greener mark. The earlier one shown here.

Have not been able to find much about this piece i think i had one once before many years ago and i
sold it on ebay to a chap in France if i remember rightly but not to sure? The glass seems well moulded
and of good quality i have found two threads on here about one but both seemed to be older ones and
had no conclusion on a maker. Would love to find out who made it if anyone knows??? Thank you :)

Half pint I'd think, press moulded,6 inches tall with lots of wear with the Davidson mark to the base, very difficult to photograph. Picked up from the Stourbridge glass museum.

As you say perhaps Stourbridge although it might be continental, I think you will have difficulty pinning down a maker.

I like Ivo's suggestion. If a cloth were tied around it to hold ink, or a thick bit of felt for a blotter were attached, that would have protected the glaze from damage, as well as the base.

Missed out the tray is pattern number 350 12" x 8"

Actually this was sold as an Hors d'oeuvres Set in a c. 1950's Davidson Trade Catalogue.

7 pieces, comprising 1 oblong tray pattern 350 - 12" x 8" and 6 x 3.5" square dishes pattern 38.
