Hi,

Another mystery (to me anyway :) ) vase.

Incredibly tall at 18" (46cm)  :shock: and has a clear outer casing over bright red. It would appear the blue inner sandwiches a white core - if viewing the rim edge-on it shows blue/white/red.

The dramatic effect at the base is a trailed ribbon of glass over the surface. Large snapped pontil mark at base.

There is a local florist here who has a shop full of these - not sure if they are from Iran or from Kazachstan, someone posted the website the other day.

Wow, one I actually know! This is by Essie Zareh, Baijan Art Glass. I have one also, in a godawful cobalt blue and orange color combo.
