I have asked a question of the moderators regarding the use of a couple of images I located in an issue of a now defunct bi-monthly publication. I was looking for something else and ran across them. In my mind, it provides very strong clues, if not actual answers to the question regarding the origins of this piece.  I will let you know what I can do when I receive my answer.  Stay tuned!!  Kind of exciting......

I can state now, with a large degree of confidence that the example in question here is a Welz example. Both a shape I had not identified before, and also a new decor. The decor sports the pink, white, and green color combination found in some other decors on other identified shapes.

OK, So I finally cleared up what I needed. These images are used here with the express permission of both John A. Franks, the author of the article in Glass Collectors Digest, and also with the permission of the publisher of the "Glass Collector's Digest". These images can be found in the December / January 1999 issue, pg 53 images 13 & 14.

For those not familiar, John Franks identified these pieces as English Cottage glass as part of a series of 4 articles in the publication. I believe I can link the trophy vase show to Welz through several decors.  By way of a unique decor match, I would also then attribute the example shown here, and also the one in the images to Welz.

Hope this helps, and certainly hope it was worth the wait....    ;D ;D

If nothing else, I have established an interesting dialogue with John Franks which will continue, regarding this glass.
