Topic: Any ideas on this Glass tankard?

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas about this glass tankard. Stands about 6"/15cm tall, has a fluted & scrolled handle with thumb pad, green mottled glass with clear base and oval air bubbles and what I think is a semi-polished pontil mark.

Hi John, sorry no idea but it does ring a bell as the body looks similar to a jug that I have sitting on my mysteries shelf.  Mine has a clear (flint) applied handle and bubbles within the glass which is mottled blue, white and grey.  What do you think?

Mine has no signs of manufacturing at all which really doesn't help identifying a maker

Hi Tim,
Not sure, to be honest. The handle on my tankard is a lot fancier and the bubbles more elongated from what I can see. The mottling in the glass looks very similar though.
If only they'd all mark their glass

...and now I have acquired one too - in Perth and with hints of a relatively well known Perth glass manufacturer but while trying to research it I found this thread but nothing else. I assume I am right in saying that someone will tell me this is not Monart as if it was, someone would have said that before. This measures 6ins high and is 3 3/4ins across the base. I would describe the base as polished (it has surface scratches consistent with age) as is the top rim. Any help in solving this three year old mystery would be appreciated.

Here's another one and a bump to see if we can crack them. 5" high, weighs a hefty 770g.

Just wondering out loud!      

That handle reminds me of Whitefriars beak jug with that style of grooving.

They made some very unusual objects along the way.
