Bohemian art nouveau vases - Kralik?
« on: April 03, 2008, 07:24:09 PM »
I bought this pair of irridescent vases from an auction recently.  They are blue glass and don't appear to be of the highest quality, with some small air bubbles in the glass, and the feet are of slightly varying sizes.

My interest was piqued when I saw this vase attributed to Kralik, and wondered if mine might be too.

What do you think, was this style used only by Kralik or did other makers borrow the design?

The style was done by several companies. I'm not sure how to tell Kralik from the rest, but this one looks just like the one at glaskilian in form.

If Jan says it is Kralik I believe him - he is good with these things. I also recognise the finish as Kralik. And you would not expect 100% quality from Kralik either. So I'd say, go with it.
