Hi, i am having a bit of difficulty with the pic of the base, is it polished flat or is there a pontil? and could we please see a clearer pic of the sig? if not, can you make out any letters?
Cheers.

Hello!
The base is an applied base in clear glass - like a small pedestal that the bowl sits on. It is polished flat but you can still just see where the pontil was (thats the shadow like area on the base photo). The signature is one letter only and i think it is a slightly curly 'V' - or if looking at it from the other way around possibly an 'N' in  lowercase??
I hope this is clearer. I cannot seem to get any other clearer pictures because of the opalescent quality of the glass - it is really hard to capture good photo's.
Many thanks,
han

How is the "signature" applied?

Hello,
The sig has been incised with what looks like a diamond-point pen.
I'll also include another photo to show the applied base more clearly.
Thanks for looking at this one for me.

Rub over the mark with a soft pencil it should photograph clearly then.
