Topic: FTD Pressed Glass Bowl/Vase

Another auction find that I really like: 7" wide x 4" high in green with a raised leaf pattern on the outside, smooth inside.  The base has 'FTD' and '1975' in raised letters.  I read on another site that FTD are Romanian florists.  Can that be right??.  No sign of them in Ivo's fact file book.  Does anyone know anything about them? Thanks.

I don't know about Romania, but FTD is a network for florists in the USA.  You know, you go to your local florist and order flowers for  across the country?   A florist in the local you want the flowers delivered to actually puts the order together.  They sell the containers to florists all over the USA to ensure consistancy.

Belated thanks for the info about FTD.  (didn't realise anyone had left a comment - dozy me) I haven't found anything linking the company to my glass but I'll keep looking.  Iain
