Frosted Opalescent Vase with Fish
« on: August 13, 2008, 09:04:11 AM »
Found this frosted opalescent vase yesterday, which has 3 pairs of fish swimming around it, not the best quality piece of glass I have seen by a long way , looks like it may be French to me, looks similar to Etling, maybe made at the Choisy-le-Roi glassworks ? or I could be miles out
Very heavy about 1.4 kg and made in thick glass, not signed, looks like it may of have a lid but not 100% sure, height 7" or 27cm
Just interested if anyone has seen similar item before

Thanks Roy

Unusual piece & not a pattern I've seen before either. I would say, however, that quality looks far below what I'd expect from Etling/ Choisy-le-Roi.
