Ebay Australia often has art glass pieces in this shape, sometimes in a more oval bowl form without the two indents (for want of a better term), with two thick, applied clear canes to the underside. They're often sold generically as Murano.

Here's a labelled one that's cropped up  on eBay. It's far from an identification, but is a start.
