Citrine ashtray-Poss Polish- ID please
« on: August 09, 2009, 06:21:14 PM »
Hi all,

Picked up this lovely weighty ashtray today. deep citrine colour- reminds me of "Hobnail" pattern. Am pretty sure its not Sklo Union-  could it be Polish, maybe Krosno?

Even if it can't be ID'd as yet, maybe its one to add to the memory banks.....

Thanks, M & S

I am almost sure that this piece is Sklo Union, Czechoslovakia, Rosice glassworks 1965, pattern 1415.

Please consult Marcus Newhall and his Sklo Union monography and attached database.

Just had a look, as Jindrich says, and the designer is Jiri Zejmon.
