Topic: Intaglio glass?

Hello all
As you were all so informative earlier(and are always) I thought I would post this one, as I have been looking into it but not getting very far.
Believe it is uranium glass but I dont have ultra violet lamp so can not confirm.( It is very florescent green)
Also very pretty etching of fruit on base of all pieces (actual etching in shape of the fruit.The are 6 bowls and 6 saucers.

Yes, uranium, I have one, but I haven't identified it (I haven't really looked). I suspect Czech or Polish (Hortensja). here is a good source of catalogues www.glas-musterbuch.de/ and here is a good pressed glass site www.pressglas-pavillon.de/index2.html (although I don't think it's there). There are quite a few of these mixed-fruit intaglio designs

This is Inwald's Jacobean (Milord). I have a full set of these berry dishes plus a master - all in glowing vaseline and with the same intaglio design underneath. I have the underplates too.

Thank you Glen and Lustrousstone for your helpful information.
I have collected all sorts of glass over a number of years, most of which I just purchased becaused I liked it.
I do have 6 bowls and 6 saucers in this uranium glass, but as I now have no space left in my house I am having to downsize my collection.
Thats why I have been asking as I don't like listing things incorrectly ( I would rather be honest that try and obtain a fast buck)

Thanks Glen.  :kissy: That kind of surprises me. I didn't realise an intaglio pattern was an option with Jacobean/Milord, although I know it comes in umpteen shape variants

Hi Christine - I think it came with a rose in the base too (although I haven't seen one in the flesh, but I have seen it in a catalogue).
