you're not allowed to use those pics on here then, you can post a link to the auction but you can't use the owners pictures. I am sure a moderator will be along to say that shortly. Personally I never comment on running auctions

Thanks for the information. I apparently have a lot to learn. My apologies.

Hi

do post the link though

Then we can say its a very bad Chinese reproduction  c2009-which someone has added a spurious Galle signature of the wrong time period. Shame the seller has said 'Antique' -its the only text that's really misrepresented.

Mind you, if you really want one -the price isn't too terrible -an original would be £10,000+

cheers

Mike, it would have been more fun if we let him buy it, Spoilsport ;)

Hello, I am so glad I did not become the brunt of a very bad joke!  Here's the link:

Hi

I so pleased you did not buy it too - not only because it would be a bad move for you -and fear upon fear put you off the joys of collecting glass, but also if no one buys them -then just maybe this bad practice will fade out (not much hope there -there are other bidders and as a fake its still cheap).

To be fair its not explicitly being passed of as Galle by this seller, but there is more than just a hint of 'maybe I don't know what a great item this is - you could get a real steal from me!' in the way the signature is displayed.

very sad

but I am very glad we saved you from 'brunt-don'

Remember with Galle £400 might just buy you a 2 colour tiny example.

Cheers

Mike

Thanks for adding that the seller hasn't really done anything wrong in their auction Mike.

Even though it might not be Galle, I reckon it looks pretty good with the light behind it, as in the pics.   :)

I am not a man
