Kerry Glass globe vase and flame pontil
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:22:23 PM »
A friend picked this up for me at a bootsale this morning thinking it was from Isle of Wight Studio Glass. It looked about right but it seemed a bit small and something about the use of colour and the pontil were hinting at Kerry. This is the first piece of Kerry I have handled and I was not sure until I got it home and was able to compare pontil marks.

It is a little under 3" (8cm) in height and a little over 3" in diameter.

In the second photo the IoW flame mark is on the left and the Kerry flame mark is on the right.

Did Kerry always have the flame pontil reversed?
