Two Blue Single Stem Vases
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:50:34 PM »
Two unusual looking vase, when paying attention to the shape.  The overall vases measures 26cm in height, the base of the stem measures 6.3cm dia. and the top 5.7cm dia.  The stem that measures 4.5 cm is octagon shaped.  The pontil is concaved and measures 1cm dia. and rather deep set too.  Around the base is a very unusual pattern design.  I have tried to take close up of this.  I think you would call these vases midnight blue as they are similar to a bowl I most recently posted on this site.  I would be grateful if anyone can assist me in identifying these unusual pieces.  Many thanks!
