Small Fruit Bowl?
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:46:43 PM »
Can anyone identify this beautiful little fruit bowl. Measuring 10.5cm height, 18cm top dia. and 13.9cm dia. at the base.  There is slight wear to the base.  The green and red colouring around the bowl and the stand is only on the outside and there are clear signs of areas were this has at some stage been rubbed off.  Can anyone identify this please.  Many thanks

Walther-glas I believe Otis. That's Walther, Bad Driberg Germany, not Auguste Walther & Sohne.

Thanks for that Anne.   I have looked on various sites with the info. you have provided and yes, it certainly is Walther-glas.   I was unable to find mine though.  :24:  Would you know the age these were particularly made?  Not to worry if you don't, as I will look it up tomorrow.  Once again, many thanks for you help.  Most appreciated.

Not certain Otis, but within the last 20 years or so I think. Pamela or Ivo will likely know more if they happen to look in.

...possibly even still in production. Unfortunately Waltherglas have their site down
for quite some time now. You could try searching Mikasa, which also have some
Walther glass in their catalogues - at least they used to.
