Afternoon...Can anyone tell me the age and or country of origin of this lamp shade? I was told that it was art nouveau but as I can't find anything similar it is hard for me to determine this. I have owned it for about 15 years, one of the pieces rescued from my garage  :o

It is quite large approximately 15" in height.

Not really any idea, but my thoughts would be nearer 1960s 1970s . we had something similar
in the porch in the late 60s.

Spain was a huge producer of wire cage blown items in the 1980s and 90s  - both for bar ware and ornamental lighting. I believe currently these items are made in India.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I don't know if this is relevant but this was given to me about 15 years ago from a friend who is a builder. He had removed it from a house in North London...it was in this condition when he gave it to me.

I must admit Ivo...I hav seen these in Spain, when I lived there!

Whitefriars also made some not sure if they were that ornate , both Whitefriars and Nazeing are only a short distance from north London .
