this cased vase is just over 9" tall and cased at the base .cinamon in colour
lots of base wear ?

Absolutely not, Christine!
Caithness does not have bases like this - they have a singular rounded smooth "well" contiguous with the body.
The glass is far too thick for this style of piece in Caithness - I think when Caithness is thick, the rims are cut and polished.

And the overall shape just isn't "right".
