Hi Haggishunter,

I suspect Weinfurtner (near Zwiesel in Bavaria) as a possible maker as I´ve seen items quite
similar to yours. Unfortunately google search only shows one, but quite close example:

Hi Dirk, thanks for the reply. I was searching ebay in the Murano section and i found this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130386164725&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

They are very similar.

Very close, too. Seems we´ll have to look for further pointers. What does the base of your bowl
look like, please? Is it matt or polished?

I´ve deleted the link above, as I get a malware warning, when I try to click one of the pictures.
The google keywords were ´weinfurtner´ and ´glasschale´. Could someone with better skills
concerning these matters please check for me?
Haggishunter, could you do the same in your quote, please. BTW if there are no further replies,
you won´t have to use the quote function as anyone will understand, what you are referring to.  :)

A matt finished bottom would probably contraindicate Murano. Poland struck me as an option

These dishes are very common. They come with two types of stickers -- one that reads "Lavorazione Arte Murano, Made in Italy" and another that reads "Crystal Clear, Made in Italy." I don't believe they are made in Murano. They are just made in a Murano style. (I'm never sure what "Murano Style" means.) I think the bowls with the different types of stickers are made by the same company -- they look much the same. I tracked down one reference that indicated some of this type glass may be from Naples. This is a big maybe, though.

I'm sure I've seen a lot of similar stuff in TKMaxx, with various, (examples are just off the top of my head - can't remember exactly what they read) "Made in Murano", "Arte'd Murano", stickers on. I suspect it's the Murano in China rather than the one in Italy. However, I also believe that many of the touristy glass shops in Venice and Murano sell glass they've had made in China, they may be from designs produced in Italy.

Thanks very much chopin-liszt, i got it and it had no label and no history sadly. I know what you are talking about with the TKMaxx glass. I might even go to my local one for a look.
