Clear iridescent, enamelled and gilded vase - Bohemian?
« on: August 07, 2010, 07:39:03 PM »
The glass is clear but has iridescence throwing off, yellows, pinks and greens. Raised white enammel beads and painted small gilded circles. Measures 19cm tall and the base is smooth (rounded edges) with only the mearest hint of a 1 inch circular potil mark (I think its a pontil mark as it is extremely faint).

Mod: Image shack images deleted as clicking on the links gave a trojan warning.

Hmm, I seem to get a trojan warning when I click on your photos. Please can you attach your pictures rather than using an outside link.

I think you vase has cooling marks on the base rather than a pontil mark, as it looks to have a ground rim and is unlikely to have both

Thank you for clearing up the base marks. I am unsure why you should get a warning when viewing the photos, I cannot change them as there are no links on my original post to edit them.

That's an improvement, but in general it's better to use the attach facility to host the images here at Glass Messages. That way future searchers will have the benefit of being able to see what the thread is about.

You don't need to join the glass gallery to attach pictures. It's not an automatic approval system and Anne may not have had time to approve you yet. The link Cathy gave you tells you how to attach pictures.

I activated your GG as soon as the notification came through to me but as Cathy says, for images on the board you don't need that anyhow. Do shout if you get stuck with pics though and one of us will rescue you!
