Hi there Dirk. Thanks very much for your super fast response.I had a look at the photos in the link that you sent me.Very impressive.By bowl looks as if it is larger. My bowl is approx 36.5 cm in length,22.5 cm wide and weighs approx 1877 grammes.Once again thanks very much.Australia seems to have a fair amount of czech glass if you are willing to visit markets.I paid $30 Aus for this piece.

Well, the "Rhapsody" range had been originaly designed by Frantisek Zemek for Teplicke sklo - Mstisov
http://picasaweb.google.cz/Jindra8526/FrantisekZemek?authkey=Gv1sRgCKX52IeMm9aJ8QE#

But later when Mstisov factory was closed (1963) manufacturing of it was transfered to Karlovarske sklo (Moser). Later again in 80ties to Chribska.
This 4 colours design was very popular and now it is hard to define whioch shape was originaly designed by Zemek and which one was designed by someone else inspired by original Zemek s design.
Your plate we can find in Zemek s monography - so you are happy owner of the original :-)
