This piece of Heisey is period, without doubt.   5.75"/147mm tall - considerable wear on both the base and the lower parts of the flared sides.   Style looks 1920 - 1930 period with the star impressed underside, and again there is the 'H' within the diamond at the bottom of the inside, although in this instance the mark is unfortunately, rather indistinct (only two thirds of the diamond is visible - and very little of the 'H').      I shall be very grateful if anyone can advise an approximate manufacturing date - and equally importantly whether this was specifically a celery or a vase.    What is noticeable, and unusual to me, is the reduced diameter base, which does of course add some extra style to the design of the sides.   Overall this is an attractive piece.
Heisey pieces, generally, appear at my sources very rarely, and it's an extreme coincidence that I should find two pieces within a matter of days.
Thanks for looking, and very grateful for anyone's thoughts. :)

Heisey's No. 300 Peerless pattern.  There is a celery, tall in the line which is what your piece appears to be.

It was introduced in 1899.

Sid  -  many thanks for your reply.   I'm glad to hear that this is appears to be a 'celery' rather than a vase  -  had you said a 'vase', I would have been rather disappointed ;).   Always intriguing, of course, to speculate when some of these pressed items were actually made  -  as we all know, some moulds were used over a period of many years.   This is my first US celery, so thanks again. :)
