Topic: Venini Glass? Anyone know it?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone know of this design by Venini?

i don't recognize it from the Venini books I have. Do you have a picture of the base and the identifying marks saying Venini? Height and weight would help, too.

Whilst there's a passing resemblance to Wirkkala's 'Coreani' series (if you squint), my overwhelming instinct is that this vase is very modern Polish.

I saw it online the other day saying "Murano vase, base marked Venini 15" Its not to far from me so I was going to look at it in real life.

I can't find nothing like this by Venini so I thought I would ask the experts

Venini 15 isn't too convincing. My first reaction was like Nic's: modern Polish or Romanian. I'd love to be wrong here so you should have a look. The various Venini signatures can be found on line and I would recommend looking at them before you go.

Thanks I'll have a look at them its a shame they don't have a picture of the base. I think the 15" is just the size of the glass.

I have one of the Wirkkala incalmo pieces - and it is not clear cased but lightweight. The signature should be very small, single line needle engraved "Venini Italia".

Okay I've just got a picture of the base. Not the venini signature  I was expecting.
