gold banded ruby coloured presed bowl.- ID = Brockwitz ARIADNE

A little unusual, I thought with this completely flat base (showing considerable wear) - and would have thought a utility piece had it not had the gold band (but may well still be just for your 'pudding'),   About 125mm in diameter, and a good deep ruby colour.(reminded me of 'Rubine')      I don't recall seeing other pieces with a similar decoration, and I sense it may well be continental, although at first I had thought Sowerby, and cud be 50 - 70 years old judging by the wear.     Please give a shout if anyone does recognize the pattern.   thanks. :)

thanks dirk -  I have some wax in my ears, so you will need to shout  -  I'm going to see the nurse next week (I will also dicuss my ears with her ;D)  -  something about acute angina.        thanks for being so quick with your correct answer - obviously they were produced both with and without the gold band then, and I wonder for how long after 1929 they were produced. :)
