"Daum France" Owl? Shop display item?
« on: May 14, 2011, 04:45:51 PM »

H. 17.5 cm, w. 1355g.   Boldly signed "Daum France" on the back at the base.

Similar in some ways to a Daum owl I found while searching on the Internet, this might be a shop display item, perhaps to display a perfume bottle or ornament.

Usual help wanted, please.   What is it?   Launch date / date range, catalogue number(s), pattern number(s), pattern name, &c?

Thanks for your interest.

After nearly two years and read over 200 times, I am still none the wiser.   An Internet search on Daum Owl brings up much less abstract owls.

Any ideas please.

 ???

Every link takes me to the same image, Bernard and there is no image of the mark. I thought the Daum mark changed over time, so it might give an indication of time period. This looks (to my ignorant eye on these matters) like it's fairly recent.

The only Daum owls I've seen were etched/cut on an art deco blue vase, I don't have it any more - gave it to my BIL.
The owls and the tree they sat in were very "deco" in style, the mark read Daum, then the double-crossed Lorraine mark, then Nancy.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Earth without art is just eh.
