I know it's just a bud vase...
« on: June 01, 2011, 05:18:16 PM »
Hi there

It's pretty difficult over here to find European glass in charity shops (thrift stores).  I'm in San Francisco but is this a Whitefriars bud vase?  It's 9 3/4" tall, with controlled bubbles and a completely flat base (with wear).  I would be thrilled to know I've found something British, for a change.

Thanks all!

Definitely not Whitefriars and probably not British. Having a look through here may help. http://www.glassbudvases.co.uk/

Looks Swedish to me, because of the narrow stem & flat polished base. A close up of the bubble formation would probably confirm this.
