A Huge Pressed Clear Vase - Any ideas of maker please?
« on: June 26, 2011, 02:50:04 PM »
This one has come out of the loft and I have not seen the like before.  It is pretty big at 30cm (11 inches) tall and it weighs 1.7kg.  It has the flared diamond shape at the top and it is obviously meant to look like cut glass with the serrated edge to the foot.  I know Brockwitz and Libochovice have some that are this kind of shape but cannot find one with the bid stem like this.  it's a real handsome piece and my only clue might be that if was a family piece then it would have come over to UK from Belgium in the 1920s.
Thans again for everyones help

Markus
