Anyone recognise this sig?
« on: August 21, 2011, 06:41:04 PM »
Hi,
Here's a photo of a vase I purchased this weekend. There is a signature on the base that I cannot quite make out. I wonder if anyone out there in Forum land can make out or recognize please?  :)
Thanks,
Bryn

My initial thoughts were Amanda? Richards, again? Are you suggesting that the vase may have been made in Bermuda Yesvil?
Cheers,
Bryn

I have sold glass with a Bermuda signature and can sort of read that in yours. This link has a similar colour too.

I can't see any similarities.

Nice vase though Bryn.

My 2 cents worth......

Could the one name be:  Nicholas ??

Then the other be: Canada, or even Crumbria ??

Maybe give us a couple more shots of it, as extra shots *might* show us something else....and maybe crop in closer for us to figure out.

My first thoughts was something like 'Nicholas'

I did see on the web there is a Nicholas studio glass in the states, although not sure if this fits with their output. Incidentally, there's a Miranda who works there, which could fit with the other word..?

Not 100% sure if this fits, but could be worth investigating.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I did actually try nicholsartglass link last night after trying various name combinations, but they don't seem to sell anything like this, but it was worth a try. Thanks also to Rose for your suggestions. I did try taking other photo's from different angles and using macro to get the best image of the name and these seem to give the clearest image? I will try again in the morning.
Cheers,
Bryn
