I looked at the catalog more carefully and feel pretty confident in saying F. Toso for the bell. They may have made them for several years, c 1969. Everything I see in the fist couple of sections in the KB catalog is F. Toso. Since the pattern is the same, it only makes sense the bell is, too.

That's fantastic, thank you Anita, I hadn't actually hoped in getting an ID on that so I'm really pleased.

Interesting that the book I referred has Rosella Junck as one of the main authors.  She obviously knows her stuff, but I hope she didn't underpay you too much.

Thanks for the info.

They have bought a couple of old Salviati pieces from me. It is Aldo Bova that I've communicated with. I thought it funny that people in Venice order from people in the US. I imagine they put the things in their store. Very pleasant to do business with.

I've been perusing around the interwebz trying to pinpoint origin of the above Christmas Tree.

I found one on worthpoint that is exactly the same and the seller states that is is from the 1980's and by FERRO & LAZZARINI.

Can anyone help me confirm or deny that attribution?

In the interests of anyone else that comes here looking for something similar later on....

The gold Christmas tree IS Murano glass, I've found evidence of an identical one that has a Gold oval Murano label with black scrolls around the edge and black writing that says Murano made in Italy. Can't post a pic here cause I found it online so not my image to steal and there's no sight of it in the Murano labels gallery.

Still not pinned it down to a maker but that might be a stretch. It is not the above suggested Ferro & Lazzarini, I emailed them and then replied that it was not one of theirs.
