Sorry rocco, can't add much else to help you unfortunately. The shape definitely looks in the Murano style in my opinion, but when you say 'sprayed on' colour, I can't point you in any direction. Nice piece though!

I have some huge wineglasses with the same colours: pink bowls and blue stems, and they appear to be a surface applied colour as well. It has a sort of almost slightly plasticky feel to it. Does the vase have the same feel?  I seem to recall the glasses were Eastern European but I can't quite remember whereabouts from! Could your vase be a decanter / carafe without a stopper?
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Thanks folks!!

I am rather certain that the colours are applied on the surface (if you look at the detail pic of the knob I think there are some colourless sections visible)
What do you think about the similarities to the ebay piece I linked to above?

@Kane: I agree that the shape is really nice with good proportions

@Anne: to me the surface doesn't have a "plasticky" feeling -- very smooth and shiny...
Funny when I first saw it I thought that there might be a stopper missing -- but after looking at many many vases with similar shapes I don't think so (plus there is no wear in the neck).
But it's certainly possible that Eastern Europe is the area the piece (or at least the decoration) comes from.

Here is another vase on ebay which seems to have a decoration similar to mine (and in the same colours).
It has a label and signature "Sent Murano" -- whoever that may be...

Thanks, m! :)
The ebay piece seems to be very lightweight, while mine isn't.

I looked at the SENT website, as well as another one -- Cesare Sent
Unfortunately nothing similar to the vases on their websites...
So maybe another Murano family associated with glass and several companies coming and going?
