Hi Adam, I've got a similar looking butterfly to your top picture, but mine's got a flower and some "grass", and is supposed to be Bohemian.

I don't suppose you've any better photos you can post?

meanwhile I think your signature is Anthony Stern and the pw looks like his sort of style but I'll ask him to have a look when I next see him, which might be soon as we have been talking about having a long overdue grumpy-old-glassmakers' boozy lunch this weekend or soon, where we can set the world to rights!

Have just posted some better images on Anne's site which is much easier to work than tinypic!

There are also a couple of views of an unusual one with a blue ground. Does anyone have any ideas about these, please?

I suppose I should admit I have been teasing in a way. These three are the first attempts I have made at making butterflies. With anything like this, when one is experimenting, it is important to find out if one is going over ground that has already been covered. I obviously don't want my butterflies to look like anyone else's.

Technically I am approaching this from a rather unusual and unconventional method, using only hot-glass techniques as opposed to lampwork, although I have been using a torch to melt in the antennae and the body.

I was much happier with the third one, which is the blue one you liked, Simone.

I'll post images as they develop. All three are for sale, so if anybody is interested, let me know.
