textured wine/sherry glass
« on: February 07, 2014, 02:18:00 PM »
Hi again, these two glasses stand 13cm tall and have a lovely ring with a long sustain, the classic small polished out pontil with sadly no mark,i guess the bowls are molded and then the stems very neatly attached, the glass is bright and this may help the dating, possibly modernish,i hope someone might recognise the texture used, many thanks.

They might be Webb. They used a honeycomb mould

I've been going demented trying to find your glasses in a thread, Christine.  :-*
I thought the mould used for these glasses looked just like the one used for your exceptional treasures, the Webb's Alexandrite.

The stem and foot look fairly similar too.
 :)
