Four glass balls eternal bow bud vase help please.
« on: April 04, 2014, 08:15:46 PM »
This is an unusual piece of glass i picked up from ebay for a couple of quid recently, i think it has some real age to it. Has anyone seen anything like this before? there is heavy wear to the base and wear to the inner stem, no seeds and the glass is crystal clear.

It's 6 inches in height.

Similar design, maybe these are also Dressler of Gablonz?

I don't know much about those but I don't associate that shape with  quill holder to be honest.

Hmmm, I think the top piece has been married to the ball structure, ??? or has it?

Looks good to me, I have been keeping a look out for these recently and there are quite a few variations in the form of vases.

I did have a bud vase on 3 balls, with that "rainbowy" irridesence I associate with a lot of Czech stuff. It's in Bubble's collection of bud vases now. Not a clue what it was - just an interesting bud vase.

I'm wondering how long the eternal bow stretches back in time and is it possible to fuse old glass to new?
