Black Glass for ID, please ID = Davidson, design No 718
« on: October 27, 2014, 12:33:36 PM »
Ten inch diameter and three and a half inches from base of feet to top. The bowl appears to be very shallow but it's a three inch depth. I'm in the UK so I don't think it's American glass. The hobnails are very raised and quite sharp. Completely smooth on the inside and highly decorated on the outside. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

I'd agree  -  those multiple short lines on the arms of the fan and star motifs in a diamond shape look rather like the 1890 suite  -  so named from the date of its introduction.         Nice piece and uncommon in black I'd suggest.

or try this one  -  from Anne some time back, and it looked similar to the 1890 suite, but prompted a correction from Chris Stewart............
