Small wrythen glass/vase with applied raspberries
« on: May 23, 2015, 04:21:51 PM »
Please can someone help identify this small wrythen glass/vase/tumbler. It is approx 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide, and has a cylindrical body with wrythen molding. The foot has been shaped from the body (rather than applied) and has a deep hemispherical recess with a pontil scar. There is an applied raspberry red rim, and 6 six raspberry prunts at the foot of the glass. The glass has a long bright ring when struck.

Does anyone have any thoughts on country of origin or age?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, that is very possible. On the web there are quite a few pieces attributed to Salviati with applied raspberries, and also the odd one having wrythen moulding with applied rims. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was generally thinking Murano, and with some good age.  :)
