This might provide a little more insight into Cascade Glassware.  A rabbit jelly mould in its original box, and with an interesting advertising leaflet.  The box has 99p handwritten in one corner, presumably the retail price, and I'm guessing this might date back to the early days of decimalisation (1972) although there's no date shown on the leaflet.

Great find Anne! I also wasn't aware of the link to Wood Bros. so this ticks a lot of boxes. Surprisingly little known about the company, although I do have a few pieces myself. Time for someone to write a book...  ::)

(not me) :P

No - it's someone else's turn!  ;)

Researching Chance Bros. was fair enough, with the company being "just around the corner", but I just don't have the time to travel to Yorkshire several times - nice county that it is. I currently have several other projects going on, so time is at a premium. My last Chance book has been stopping and starting since 2008, so I would like to finish it sometime this decade.

If no-one's done it by 2025, I might have a look...  and hopefully all the data will be on the inter-web by then! ;D

Could you scan the leaflet and add it to the glass gallery Anne?

This has solved the identity of some little candleholders I have (why can I only find one now?) - and the odd plate/ashtray/dish - things I found a long time ago and had wrongly suspected they might be Iitalla.
Piccies shortly.
This is a really amazing find as far as information is concerned, Anne. Well done indeedy!
(I'm not sure about rabbit jelly moulds. I hate jelly and I cannot bring myself to eat rabbit or rabbit shaped things, after a traumatic incident as a child when I was tricked into eating a bunny.)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

LOL

I did try it out but it was difficult to get the jelly out, having done the usual things that you are supposed to.  It just looked like a big disgusting wobbly undefined shape blob, and not bunny-like at all, but tasted good all the same!

I know the Iittala ones you refer to i.e. Kastahelmi (dewdrop) pattern.
