ID Help Old Millefiori Garland Paperweight. ID = Clichy
« on: June 08, 2015, 02:26:03 PM »
I picked up this weight at my local boot fair this weekend. I put it up on Facebook and the general consensus seems to be that it is French.

I would love to know the maker and period of production, many thanks in advance for your help. Apologies for the pictures which were tricky due to scratches on the dome.

Measures 3 1/8 inches across and 2 inches in height.

It's a classic period Clichy weight 1850-1870, and a very nice find at a boot fair.

I clearly go to the wrong car boot sales...:-(

Should pay for your petrol and entrance fee, though!

Thank you gentlemen.

Very pleasing information, I do seem to be very lucky with my paperweight finds.
