Pressed glass tumbler with bull's eye/moon & star pattern
« on: September 11, 2015, 07:05:37 PM »
Any ideas what this might be please?  It has a similar scallop shape base to a Percival Vickers' tumbler in their 1881 cat. but mine is a little more elaborate.  I'm not too sure how to describe the pattern, but can only think that it might be a bull's eye or a moon and star pattern ???
There are no marks inside, but on three of the base segments are what look like the letter T, followed by a symbol which looks to be either numbers or a circle on a foot on the other two (last image).
It stands 4" high and quite heavy.
I've searched through my English pressed glass books and internet without success, but it might not of course be English.
TIA :)

Very nice tumbler - but it's not 1-2-3 is it?

They could very well be numbered 1,2 and 3, but the last digit looks like an upside 3 if viewed the same way ???  I haven't come across glasses marked in this way before.
It is a nice tumbler and comfy to hold, with thumb and index finger resting on the inner circles.
