A question about Float Bowls with statuettes.
« on: September 08, 2016, 11:36:56 AM »
Around the middle of the last century float bowls with statues of birds, fish, boys and girls (clad or otherwise) were popular with several glass makers.  I'm thinking Inwald, Walther and others.

Does anyone have any ideas whether or not these were originaly sold as sets or on a mix and match basis?  I recently bought a nice Inwald bowl,  the only examples of which I can find have it paired with a "Dancing Lady" statue.  Another type of bowl from them is commonly sold with a "Poisson Volante" statue.

I think the bowl would look better with the fish statue.  Would this be an "authentic" pairing to make and have the pairings I have found just become accepted over time as the correct ones?
