Emerald green spiral optic vase.
« on: February 19, 2017, 09:05:34 PM »
Bought this today at an antique fair. It appealed to me on a few fronts, the lovely colour, the design and the possibility it could be Swedish glass.
It is 200 mm tall and 130 mm dia. and heavy.
Any help with the identification would be gratefully accepted.

Looks like uranium lead crystal glass to me. I would say English and possibly Stevens and Williams.

Thanks for that info Christine, never thought to look there. You were right about the uranium glass it glows very strong!
Just looking at the stevens and Williams glass on google images I saw an image of a piece of glass that I bought at the same fair.
When I have taken some photos I have an enquiry to put on GMB. Spooky.
I did not see my vase on the image page, would be nice if someone had a positive I D
thanks again,
Tim
