Glass Lampshade labelled 'GEB Kunstglas'
« on: July 08, 2020, 08:50:44 AM »
The label seems to clearly date this into the pre WW2 period (as does the style) but I can't find any records of this factory (or retailer?). Can anybody suggest a direction? The only candidate so far is 'Glashutte Ernst Buder' but not able to see that they produced lighting, or items in this style, nor is the label/abbreviation found elsewhere.
TIA

Apparently stands for Gebrueder Eibenstein in Bischhofswerda, (Eibenstein Brothers of Bischhofswerda), a town in Germany and Kunstglas is Art Glass, there are a few pieces online. The u in Gebruder should have an umlaut over it, which I can't reproduce, so I've used the alternative spelling.
