I still think Nazeing is a possibility. They produced some similar designs before the war, nicely finished on the base.

I can't discount suggestions the vase might actually be Czech, or perhaps a product of another British producer like Stevens and Williams. Perhaps Mr N. Benson can settle this, if he looks in.

I would doubt that very much. It is only recently pontil marks have been polished in work from China, and I have never, ever seeen those round mould marks on Chinese glass.
I do think this has some age. Which would pre-date a polished round Chinese mark.

Hard to say but if it was Chinese,  its not modern Chinese  --possibly between 30's to 60's judging by the fine ring wear to the base (not very clear in the picture) The wear looks natural not modern Chinese artificial wear. The pontil is well polished. On Chinese pontils you can sometimes see machine marks in different directions on polishing or even a dull finish. This is highly polished but with some age scratching.
