"guarding" like in "guarding a mousehole"?  There already were glass-casualties by her.

I put oranges and lemons in beside my display to discourage the cats from taking any interest in climbing on the shelves.
They don't like the smell of citrus. They do leave my shelves alone. 
I've only had one cat breakage in about 23 years of collecting. And the vase was in a stupid place, it was my fault she knocked it off.

It's NEVER the cat's fault We had two losses in all the time.

The theme of this showing is "the pot plants have gone outside"
Some recent purchases some a bit older.
